I’ve long wanted to created art that would be seen in people’s daily lives rather than in revered spaces–and which might be seen from different angles and distances, in different lighting conditions, and at different paces.
Great news. In August I was selected for a four year term on the state’s 2026 – 2029 roster. The Public Artist Roster is a list of pre-qualified professional artists who are eligible to create site-responsive works of art for K-12 public schools, colleges, universities, and state agencies. Art in Public Places (AIPP) project managers facilitate this process. In my case I was approved for indoor projects with budgets up to $125k.
