These works are from an ongoing series that uses the incredibly detailed vision of digital photography to look into the depths of the image. Throughout the digital darkroom process the images retain their photographic nature as works of light and their reference to a specific time and place. This process creates a descent from the specific and actual to the graphic. The context of the scene or subject falls away, replaced by something like an evocation, an immediate and personal presence, relying on a relation more between subject and viewer than between subject and context.
